Matt Atkinson | Choreographer & Dancer

A little bit about me...A little bit about me...

Who am I? Well... my name is Matt, obviously. I hail from a small town called Crowborough in East Sussex and I am now in my mid-twenties.

I first learnt to line dance when I was a kid - the earliest memory is learning The Grundy Gallop in my [at the time] teachers kitchen!  My first teacher, Val, is still teaching/dancing at the Crowborough Country Music Club. So I guess we can all blame her!  From then on, I've danced in various venues around the country - one of which is The Viking in sunny Selsey....

and also The Rockies and Wranglers CMLDC in Walthamstow, London.

Having danced for many years, I've got many dances on my 'all time favourites' list. Teresa and Vera being one of my early inspirations with dances such as I Said I Love You, Live Close and Visit, Quando When Quando, Going All The Way and Vertical Expressions [which you'l see my partner dance with Bubba] - how could I not love them!

Recently visited the Spirit Of The South Festival and danced Fake I.D. with some friends...
